Refund policy

Refund Process for hired Items:

We endeavor to be fair and understanding to all our clients in our hiring process and are aware that certain conditions may change that may require you to cancel your booked attire for hire. 

A full refund of the amount paid is applicable when cancellation is due to our failure to meet our obligations

Amount paid - (minus) admin fee of R80 - (minus) bank charges fees of R20 applies if cancellation occurs 3 days or more before the pick up date. (R100 total deduction).

R150 cancellation fee applies for cancellations that are done 24hrs to 72hrs before the pick up date. 

No refund applies if cancellation is done by client on the day of pickup.

Refund Process for Single Purchased Items:

As Graduation Home we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not altogether happy, you may return the product to us within 14 days of purchase and we will either repair or replace it subject to the terms below.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at bookings@gaduationhome.co.za. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: 95 Klipfontein Road, Rondebosch 

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items 

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.

 Defective products

We do our best to ensure that the products we deliver are of a high quality and without defects.

A defect is regarded as a material flaw in the manufacture of a product or any characteristic of a product, which makes the product less acceptable than one would reasonably expect in the circumstances.

The following will not be regarded as defects:

  • Damage resulting from normal wear and tear.
  • Damage from negligence, abuse or incorrect usage of the product.
  • Damage resulting from a failure to adequately care for the product.
  • Damage resulting from unauthorised alterations to the product.

 

Bulk Order Refund & Cancellation Policy:

At Graduation Home, we take pride in delivering high-quality, made-to-order graduation items. To protect both our clients and our business from unforeseen changes, the following policy applies to bulk orders (5 items or more) where a deposit is required.

1. Deposit Policy

  • A 50% deposit is required to initiate all bulk orders
  • This deposit covers the cost of ordering materials, securing labor, and administrative preparation.

2. Cancellation & Partial Refunds

  • Cancellations within 24 hours of deposit payment:
    • Eligible for a full refund of the deposit. 
  • Cancellations after 24 hours but before production starts:
    A partial refund of the deposit will be processed, calculated as follows:
    • Material costs already incurred will be deducted (based on proof of purchase).
    • 10% of the deposit will be retained as a non-refundable administrative fee.
  • Cancellations after production has started:
    • The deposit is non-refundable

3. Custom Orders

  • Orders involving custom colors, branding, embroidery, or other personalization are subject to the same policy, but materials and customization costs may significantly reduce the refundable amount.

4. Changes to Orders

  • Modifications requested after order confirmation may incur additional charges, depending on production status and cost impact.

5. Order Timelines & Delays

  • Clients are required to confirm final order details (e.g., sizing, color, customization) by the agreed-upon deadline to ensure timely production and delivery.
  • Delays in providing confirmations, approvals, or payments may result in delayed delivery, for which Graduation Home will not be held liable.
  • In such cases, any associated costs for rush production or late delivery will be borne by the client.
